Family Day
At Ginnie Springs Saturday, August 13th, 2011 at

Family Day this year for the first time we are going to offer to our FGTC members and friends that want to participate in this event the ability to purchase passes for the day of the event from FGTC prior to there arrival. This will save you considerable time at check in as you will only have to go to the guard house and present your FGTC coupon and in exchange they will give you a mirror tag for your vehicle for that days admission.  What this will provide you is the ability to skip the long lines at the normal check in desk.

To take advantage of this great opportunity you will need to get with Michael Croy on or before the July 28th General meeting to get your day passes. He can be reached by email: gatorfreightors@yahoo.com or ph: 352.505.4088 if by phone please leave him a message so he may get back with you. We are asking folks this year to bring a covered side dish or dessert for all to enjoy. We will be having the meal made by our Gator Chefs under the tutelage of Bob Benthal and Head cook your President and Chef Bruce Ervin. We will be looking to have lunch about 1pm. Bob Benthal will be out of town that weekend and that means there will be plenty of Deconna Ice Cream in the cart for all to enjoy. As always we want to remind everyone to bring your own tube(s).

This year we are adding more game type events for all to participate in. So practice your egg toss and jump around in your burlap sack as we are going to make this a fun and exciting day for all. The Horseshoe tourney will be a double elimination, blind draw, all points format and will start @ 10:30 am SHARP! There is a $10 buy in with cash, hat and plaque awards for 1st, 2nd and a hat & plaque awards for the first team to be eliminated. The Blind draw will consist of an A & B side with the A side being the more experienced players. So that will allow the less experienced players have a great chance of drawing a good player and Winning the coveted bragging rights. Look for a post card in the mail with this info and the days events agenda in your mailbox prior to the event.

Come join us for our kickoff celebration for the 2011 Football season. This is the last weekend before school starts. So round up the kids, grab the wife, load up the Grand parents and put August 13th at the top of your To Do list as we are going to have a large time for all at the FGTC Family Day 2011 @ Ginnie Springs. Oh and lets not forget we are in need of VolunGators and Sponsors to help make this a Great event. Please contact Michael Croy or any of your Board members to find out how you can help.
